HookSafe is made of weather resistant, ABS plastic (twice as durable as PVC), but it won’t scratch your rod’s eyelets. If you secure your lure to your rod’s eyelets the metal WILL scratch the eyelets, and that nick could break your line when a fish is on! HookSafe is quick to apply, does not rely on Velcro, or moving parts, and it is durable- capable of withstanding over 2000 lbs/in2
